In an attempt to capture the intimate truth and unspoken energy of each moment, the scenes of HIGHWAY FF were acted and shot entirely by Holden and partner Matt Burr. Working without the usual constrictions of a film production, they were able to explore the depths of this fictional reality, stranded in a small green farmhouse on Highway FF, Lafayette County, Missouri. 

The result is a tactile viewing experience in which the audience is there in the room, cutting the apple, tying the boot, alone in the snow...
